Day 1: Arrive Delhi
On arrival at Delhi airport you will be met and will be transferred to your hotel where we are holding on ready occupancy basis. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 2: Delhi
Morning city tour starts with Old Delhi tour visiting the imperial Red Fort, a phenomenon in red sedimentary rock, Jama Masjid which is one of the gigantic mosques in Asia, both constructed by Emperor Shah Jahan, and visit Rajghat – which is built to give tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. Continue your visit to New Delhi which has Presidents House -once the home of British delegates. Also drive past through India Gate, a memento raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war; Humayun’s Tomb – world heritage site and lastly Qutub Minar, created by Qutub-ud-din Aibek.
Day 3: Delhi To Lucknow ( By Air )
In the morning board your flight for Lucknow. On arrival at Lucknow airport you will be transferred to your Lucknow hotel. Later your Lucknow tour starts with the visit of the city of Nawabs & Wazirs which was their capital in 18th century and was the centre of culture and tradition. Visit the famous Bada Imambada or Asafi Imambada built in 1784 and one of the interior halls is said to be the largest domicile of the world. From outside one of the staircases goes to many labyrinths where it is very very easy to get lost. Also visit Hussanibad Imanbada which abodes the mausoleum of Mohammed Ali Shah and its mother. The inners are ornamented with chandeliers, colourful coat and throne of the King. Also visit Rumi Darwaza and the Residency which was the area of conflict during the year of 1857. Overnight stay will be at Lucknow.
Day 4: Lucknow To Varanasi ( By Train )
Morning check out from your hotel and board your air conditioned train for Varanasi. On arrival at Varanasi you will be met and will be transferred to your hotel. Later there will be Sarnath excursion tour where Lord Buddha gave her first sermon speech to the world. On reaching Sarnath visit Dhamekh Stupa, Archeological Museum and Ashoka Pillar which was constructed in 3rd century Before Christ (B.C) erected with 4 lions on it. This 4 lion is now the insignia of Government of India. Later return to Varanasi to watch the evening Aarti Celebration of the holy river Ganges. Later you are free to explore the untouched oldest civilization of the world in the by lanes of Varanasi. Overnight stay in Varanasi.
Day 5: Varanasi To Agra ( By Overnight Express Train )
At the crack of the dawn have boat ride in the holy river Ganges, full of pilgrims who are continuing to do there hundred years old traditions. While on boat you may see the cremation commemoration of dead bodies as per Hindu solemnity. Later Varanasi city tour to visit temple of Durga Temple, dedicated to Goddess Durga, This temple is also known as Monkey temple as you can see high density of monkeys in the temple grounds. In the late evening board the overnight train for Agra.
Day 6: Arrive Agra
On arrival at Agra railway station you will be met and transferred to the hotel. Later view the beautiful Taj Mahal .Taj Mahal – a part of Seven Wonders of the World, was constructed by 22,000 men and women and giving them livelihood for more then 17 years for creating mausoleum of Shah Jahan’s beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Later visit the Agra Fort which was built by Akbar. This fort is built along the river Yamuna with several buildings inside. Till today part of the fort is still used by Indian Army which is not open for public. Though in the fort there are many places where you can get an insight of Mughals livelihood. Continue your sightseeing by visiting famous Tomb of Itamad-ud-Daula created by Noorjehan in remembrance of her father.
Day 7: Agra To Bhopal ( By Train )
Morning board your train for Bhopal station. On arrival, transfer to your hotel. Later drive to explore Sanchi – the existing example of visualization and beliefs of Emperor Ashoka. It is dotted with many Buddhist structures like pillars and stupas. Also visit the archaeological museum where it shows the famous image of four lions that once sat atop the Ashoka Pillar. Overnight stay in Bhopal.
Day 8: Bhopal To Jaipur ( By Overnight Express Train )
After breakfast drive to Bhimbetka caves which are surrounded by the northern limits of Vindhya mountain Range. The name ‘Bhim-bet-ka’ means ‘where Bhim sat down’. There are more than 600 caves in Bhimbetka. It took 16 years to unearth the entire vicinity covered by these caves. Bhimbetka caves had been used as asylum by people from the earliest of periods. Here you will find paintings of all ages starting from Paleolithic age to medieval age. As the time passed, the paintings became smaller, shapely and more precise. The oldest painting here is said to be around 12,000 years old, whereas the most recent is around 1000 years old. Drive back to your hotel for some rest before checking out to board your overnight train for Jaipur.
Day 9: Jaipur
On arrival at Jaipur station, transfer to hotel. After refreshment we will take you to visit Amber fort where you will experience the Elephant ride to visit Amber Palace. Later visitation continues to Observatory ( Jantar Mantar) which is one of the biggest observatory constructed by Sawai Jai Singh. Also visit City Palace which is famous for Rajasthani style and architecture, and have photo shoot stop at Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds). Evening is free to visit the famed markets of Jaipur which are well known for handicrafts, jewellery etc. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 10: Jaipur To Delhi ( By Drive 255 Km / 4.5 Hours Drive ) & Depart
After late breakfast drive to Delhi. On arrival at Delhi airport you will be transferred to International airport for your flight to onwards journey.Trip ends.
