The tour is high on history and offers you a splendid chance to explore Delhi in its depth, visit Agra’s Taj Mahal and also gorge on the isolation of the ghost town of Fatehpur Sikri. Gwalior and Bhopal drop you to the centre of India and the child in you will erupt in ecstasy when we journey to Bhimbetka Caves and Satpura National Park.

Day 1: Arrive Delhi
Arrive in Delhi, where you will be met by and shall be transferred to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free to enjoy at your leisure. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 2: Delhi
After breakfast you shall be visiting India Gate which has an historic importance in Delhi. Nearby visit magnificent Presidential Palace ( Drive past ). Carry on your drive to Old Delhi which displays Red Fort ( drive past ) a UNESCO World Heritage Site and visit the largest mosque of India known as Jama Masjid. After lunch go ahead for Humayun’s tomb and its stunning gardens watching the tomb change colour as the starts for dusk.
✓ Enjoy Rickshaw ride with visit of Old Delhi.
✓ Go for live Bollywood show in the evening ( Closed on Monday’s ).
Day 3: Delhi – Agra
After breakfast, board your train for Agra. On arrival visit Agra Fort and Baby Taj ( Itmad-Ud-Daulatabad ). Continue to Mehtab Bagh in the evening to watch the sunset over the Taj Mahal. Overnight in Agra.
✓ Explore Agra which is one of those oldest living cities of India where the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort illustrate the traditional culture of medieval era.
Day 4 : Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra
At the time of sunrise visit Taj Mahal and see it vibrant color changing. Taj Mahal was built in remembrance of Mumtaz Mahal, wife of Shah Jahan. Later visit Fatehpur Sikri a ghost city, abandoned due to shortage of water. Nowadays even after 400 years the splendor of this royal city has not faded and remains impeccably preserved. Night stay is in Agra.
✓ Visit Taj Mahal ( Closed on Friday’s ) at the time of sunrise for stunning views and is also less crowded.
✓ Visit Ghost Town Fatehpur Sikri near Agra.
Day 5 : Agra- Gwalior
Depart for Gwalior. On arrival visit Gwalior Fort and is one of the biggest forts of India. It is also abode to a temple that has the first existence of the number Zero as a written number in the world. Also explore Jal Vilas Palace, the significant seat of the Scindias who ruled the state of Gwalior in 18th century.
✓ Go for street shopping in Patanka and Sarafa Bazaar in Gwalior as this market offers collection of chic and local made products.
Day 6 : Gwalior – Orchha
Depart for Orchha. Stopoverat Datia Fort en route. Overnight in Orchha.
Day 7 : Orchha
After breakfast you will be taken on a guided sightseeing tour of Orchha. Orchaa is set along the banks of River Betwa. Orccha’s temples and forts replicate the grandeur of Bundela Rulers dating back to 16th and 17th century. Closely watch Lakshmi Narayan Temple, Raj Mahal and Jehangir Palace.
✓ Explore Phool Bagh, Orchha where Prince Dinman Hardol ( adored as Hero ) committed suicide to prove his innocence over rumoured affair with his brother’s wife. Women here sing songs about him and tie threads onto the memorial’s jail ( lattice screen ) and walk around five times, making wishes and hope he will grant it some day.
✓ Watch Sawan Bhado pillars where these two make an ethnic Persian designed cooling system, pierced on the top to seize the wind although their run-down parts were attached to a pool of water, Orchha
Day 8 : Orchha – Bhopal
Morning you will be transferred to Jhansi railway station to board your train for Bhopal. On arrival you will be assisted and shall be transferred to your hotel. Evening is free for leisure and rest. Night stay is in Bhopal
✓ Watch Adivasis ( tribes people ) work at Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya Museum without tribes. Explore tribes traditional tools, materials, arts, beliefs and crafts of several tribal and other clusters in Bhopal.
Day 9 : Bhopal – Sanchi Stupa – Bhopal
Today have an excursion of Sanchi Stupa known for its ancient art and architecture. Sanchi Stupa was built by Emperor Ashoka in 3rd century BC. The stupa comprises the relics of Lord Buddha and is ranked among the world Heritage sites. The middle chamber of Stupa is made of large hemispherical domes.
The Stupa is a great artefact of Buddhist school of Architecture. Another remarkable feature of Sanchi Stupa is the illustration of various forms of Lord Buddha such as footprints, wheels and the amazing thrones. You will also find the several manifestations from tales of Jataka.
Return back to Bhopal for your overnight stay.
✓ Watch Southern Gateway at Sanchi Stupa where back to back lions on the pillars were preferred Ashokan sculpt and it is now the state emblem of India, and can be seen on every bank note of India.
✓ Find the great bowl behind monastery 51 in Sanchi Stupa, which is engraved from a massive boulder where food and offerings were arranged for spreading among monks.
Day 10 : Bhopal – Bhimbetka Caves – Satpura
Depart from Bhopal for Satpura National Park, on the way have a stopover at Bhimbetka Rock shelter caves which confirms the earliest sign of human life in Indian subcontinent. The caves are UNESCO World Heritage Site and several paintings are more than 30,000 thousand years old. Continue your drive to Satpura National Park for overnight stay.
✓ Bhimbetka cave paintings have a remarkable equality to those uncovered in the Kakadu National Park in Australia, cave paintings of Bushmen in Kalahari Desert and Upper Paleolithic Lascaux cave paintings in France.
Day 11 : Satpura National Park
Today you will enjoy morning and evening jeep safari rides around Satpura National Park. While enjoying Jeep safaris watch the deep valleys, sandstone peaks, narrow gorges, waterfalls and Sal woodland in the jungles of Satpura National Park.
It is the only national park of India which offers walking safaris to watch tiger country on foot amongst 1300 species of the plants. Be careful to watch leopards, sloth bears, Indian Wild dogs and other herbivores. If lucky you can see a tiger here too. Night stay is Satpura Nationa Park.
Note: Satpura National Park is closed on Wednesday afternoon.
